Subject: [*] Cookie's Revenge v1.0

Cookie's Revenge
Version 1.0 =A91997 by Tom Harrington (tph@rmi.net)

>From the README:

Many web sites want to save "cookies" on your hard drive.

Many people don't like the idea of web sites using their hard drive to
save information. There are many ways to defeat cookies, including other
AppleScripts that delete the cookie file or sometimes just selected
entries from the file. But where's the fun in that?

Cookie's Revenge opens your cookie file and replaces the cookie data
with subtly bogus information. Superficially it will look like all data
is intact, but the information has been scrambled and rendered useless.
Sites will think that they're tracking you when in fact they're only
tracking random data.

Currently Cookie's Revenge works only with Netscape Navigator. It
should work with any version of Navigator. An Internet Explorer version
may be forthcoming, if I ever get around to installing the program.

This AppleScript is free. It can be found at
<ftp://ftp.rmi.net//pub2/tph/cookie/cookies-revenge.sit.hqx>.

Subject: [*] Frodo 4.1

Frodo/MacOS is a macintosh port of Frodo, a Commodore 64 emulator, by Christian
Bauer. Frodo was developed to reproduce the graphics of games and demos better
than the existing C64 emulators. Therefore Frodo has relatively high system
requirements: It should only be run on systems with at least a
68060/PowerPC/Pentium (although MacFrodo will run on 68030-based Macintoshes).
But on the other hand, Frodo can display raster effects correctly that only
result in a flickering mess with other emulators. In addition to the precise VIC
emulation, Frodo features a processor-level 1541 emulation that is even able to
handle about 50% of all fast loaders. There is also a faster 1541 emulation for
four drives in .d64/x64 disk images, .t64/LYNX archives, or directories of the
host system. Sound (SID) emulation is also provided.

Subject: [*] MultiTimer 2.1.4

MultiTimer is a utility for keeping track of the time you spend on any
projects, tasks, jobs or pastimes you perform with your Mac. It will be of
particular interest to those who do freelance work for an hourly rate, but
will also be useful for any number of other things.

The emphasis in MultiTimer is on ease of use. Each project (or whatever) you
want to keep track of is represented by a "module" in MultiTimer. Setting up
a new module requires simply making one menu selection and typing a name for
the module. Tracking the accumulated time spent on a project is accomplished
by clicking a start/stop timer button. A pop-up menu shows you a module's
total time for a session, day, week, month, year or a grand total. MultiTimer
can optionally keep a "Log file" with a permanent record of all sessions that
you time. Data from Log files can be viewed in a variety of formats, and can
be pasted into other applications such as spreadsheets or databases. A number
of other features are available, but everything is designed to be easy and
intuitive. With MultiTimer you have all the features you need in a
time-tracking utility, coupled with unparalleled ease of use. Full
instructions are available within the program.

This is version 2.1.4 of MultiTimer. This version corrects a bug that
sometimes caused the wrong total for days to appear in Log files. 2.1.3 fixed
a problem with timing sessions that extend past midnight. Versions 2.1.1 and
2.1.2 included some small fixes and enhancements over 2.1 and 2.1.1, and
instituted the use of the Kagi shareware payment system.

Critical Acclaim:
"MultiTimer is an ideal program for people who need to keep track of how much
time they spend on projects that are billed. ...very easy to understand. Four
'Mice'"!
Dan Miller in the MacUser Software Central Web Site.

Requires System 7.0 or later; 7.1 or later recommended.
Shareware; $15.00

NoMoreCookies 1.1.1 - NoMoreCookies is an AppleScript application that watches
the Cookies and the History files that a web browser maintains. The program
checks the files at your defined intervals and empties them if they've been
updated. This virtually insures that no shadey individual can optain information
about your web where-abouts. This could be very important in cases where
someone
is attempting to obtain information about you illegally. For ease of use, drop
the compiled application or an alias into the Startup folder. It only needs
to be
configured once unless, of course, the Cookies and History files run away.

Subject: [*] QuickieMail.1.0.sit.hqx QuickieMail simple e-mailer

QuickieMail is a small send-only e-mail client which loads
quickly and uses a relatively small memory partition.

Features:

QuickieMail maintains an internal address book of up to 500 names.

All preferences such as window placement and the address book are
stored in the applications own resource fork, so there are no stray
preference files lying around if you chose to move or delete
QuickieMail.

Full Internet Config compliance. QuickieMail uses IC's preferences for
mail hosts, etc. to ease set-up. QuickieMail also accepts Get URL events
and therefore may be used as Internet Config's "mailto:" helper.

Internet Config is REQUIRED for QuickieMail to work.

Misc:

See the included readme file and the application's "About" box for
more information on installation, etc.

QuickieMail is released as sharware, USD$15, with payments being
handled by Kagi Shareware. See the readme for more information.

QuickieMail may be included on all CD-ROM collections, provided the
entire archive is included complete with the ReadMe and the included
Register program.

It generates random passwords of a length you specify. You can pick how
many passwords you need generated. You can pick what characters the
passwords are composed of. They are then written to the screen or a text
file.

Who would use this anyway?

Any sort of network administrator who needs to be giving out passwords.
That's why I made it in the first place.

RanPassword 1.3

1.3 - HyperCard
- Cleaned up the code, used id numbers and short forms
- Major speed improvements -- 400% faster. It could be faster, but you'd
  lose the progress bar.
- fixed bug where it failed to validate that the fields contained numbers
- fixed bug where program would run into an infinite loop if no boxes were
checked
- fixed a one-pixel misalignment (yes, I noticed!)
