these items.
AMICO can be included in CD-ROMs or posted to any software archives or

A NOTE FOR MAC OS 8 USERS
=========================
AMICO is Mac OS 8 compatible. However, to ensure that AMICO will function
properly under Mac OS 8, you need to check the "Always snap to grid"
checkbox in the "View Options..." dialog box of the Apple Menu Items
folder and possibly do a "Clean Up" for that folder as well.

Subject: [*] Cameraid 1.0
Cameraid is a compact, yet very powerful shareware program for managing
and organizing digital photos and scans.
It can download and erase pictures from Agfa, Olympus, Epson and Sanyo
digital cameras and it is often up to 70% faster than bundled software -
sometimes even faster. File creation dates can be set to the time when
the picture was really taken.
Downloads operate smoothly as background tasks, taking a minimum
amount of processor cycles. Other work can progress normally while a
download is active. Each picture can be viewed and edited as soon as
it has arrived. These features combined with the fast downloads offer
significant time savings to digital camera users.
Cameraid is useful even if you don't have a digital camera or prefer
not use the serial port for downloads.
Pictures can be rated using a simple "thumbs up", "thumbs down" grading
system. Selected files can be dragged to other applications or simply
moved or copied to a new location. Best of all, files are easily renamed
within Cameraid, so there's no need to pop back into the Finder to rename
a document.
Cameraid is shareware US$15 (payments through Kagi). The unregistered
version is fully functional, but shows a registration notice for 10
seconds at startup.
Cameraid requires System 7 or later, and is compatible with the latest
system software, including System 8.1. Testing indicates that it works
on G3-series PowerMacs.

Subject: [*] Concordance 2.1
Concordance 2.1.1 - Concordance maker.
Concordance is freeware. =A9 1995-1998 by Giovanni Giusti
.
Concordance picks a TEXT file, reads it, then displays some information
about the original file, such as size, number of words, number of different
words, etc.
It also creates an index containing a list (the "concordance") of all the
words, together with how many times each word appeared in the original.
Thus it is useful for statistical purposes ("How many times did I mention
"barracuda" in my article?"). This list can be sorted prior to saving.
Starting from version 2, you can also output a list (the "wordlist") of all
the words with the "pages" they have appeared in - a sort of very basic
indexing. The problem is obviously that plain-text files don't have any
page breaks, so the "page" is calculated on a n-characters-per-page basis.
This list, unfortunately, cannot be sorted, because it is created on the
fly while saving it. But you can sort it through your favourite word
processor, can't you?
Changes since v. 2.1
Thanks to the feedback of a German friend, I lengthened the maximum word
length from 25 to 35 (I hadn't mentioned this before, I thought there was
no need).
Also, I am implementing Drag&Drop - in the hope it'll work.

Subject: [*] Icon Machine (FAT) 1.3J - Japanese Version
This is the Japanese version of the Icon Machine package.
When I first started using System 7 and saw how you could customize icons by
pasting them in the Finders Get Info windows, I immediately said, Hey, what
we need is an icon editor! And the idea of Icon Machine was born, and has
been evolving ever since. Other people have made icon editors too, and I
have tried out as many as I could get my hands on (because if I found one I
liked enough it would save me a lot of trouble!) but I was never quite
satisfied. If you want a thing done right....
Icon Machine is an icon editor- it lets you customize the icons of items in
the Finder. To edit the icon of an item, just drag it onto the Icon Machine
icon in the Finder, and Icon Machine will open a window in which you can
edit the icon. When you're done, use the Save command to apply your new
icon. Icon Machine has been designed to take advantage of other great
features of the Mac OS to give you the power to make the icons you want.
Here are a few things people have said about Icon Machine:
"The Photoshop of icon editors!"
- Andrew Miller
"My initial reaction: This is cool!"
- Craig Hockenberry, author of Icon Dropper
"I think Icon Machine is tremendous."
- Brian Kelley, Apple Wizards
Changes in version 1.3:
- Added keyboard shortcuts for tools.
- Added the Show Gridlines command.
- Fixed a potential crashing bug when saving while the Finder is not
running, such as with At Ease.
- Only allows one about box open at a time.
- Fixed a contextual menu bug introduced in 1.2.1 - control-clicking in a
window's drag area would drag the window instead of displaying a menu.
- Fixed a bug which made the System Colors palette not tear off.
- Fixed a bug in the System Colors palette which would hilite two "blank"
colors if you put the mouse in just the right place.
- Fixed another bug in the System Colors palette where using the dropper
tool to select certain colors would cause the wrong color to be hilited,
even though the right color was chosen.

OTX-to-TEXT =A9 1994-98 by Giovanni Giusti
OTX-to-TEXT converts into useable Macintosh TEXT files documents written
with an obscure DOS word processor of the Eighties, called "OTX". I only
ever met one person using that thing, so I wrote this software for him.
Now if there is a second person around the Net with old OTX files lying
around, this may be of help. In fact, OTX files, if opened as they are,
look even more scrambled than WordStar=81 files -- virtually unuseable.

Subject: [*] Synth MooVier 2.2 - create 3D QuickTime movies
Synth MooVier 2.2 (c)Marco Bonasoro, 1994-98. All rights reserved.
Synth MooVier is a freeware application capable of producing 3-D QuickTime
animation.
Its notable features are:
- integrated 3-D modeler;
- high-quality rendering (Phong shading);
- complete control over material properties (color, transparency);
- multiple, colored light sources (point, directional or spot);
- export of 3-D models in VRML format (1.0 compliant);
- control of movie quality (fps) and frame dimensions;
- small RAM and disk footprint.
In order to produce an animation, you have to model the actors in the scene
(by assembling solid primitives) and to define their behaviors over time,
which means you can, in specified temporal interval, modify all their
attributes, as position, dimensions, colors, rendering type; the light sources
can be smoothly turned on or off; and the special actors (like the view
camera)
can be managed in the same way.
Hardware/Software requirements
Macintosh model with 68020 processor or better (FPU not required);
8-bit/256 colors video card (16-bit/thousands recommended);
768 kb of free RAM (1Mb recommended);
MacOS 7.x or better;
QuickTime 1.5 or better.
This version adds transparent objects and ambient fog effect.
Enjoy,
Marco

Synth MooVier e' una applicazione freeware capace di produrre filmati
QuickTime 3-D.
Le sue principali caratteristiche sono:
- modellatore 3-D integrato;
- rendering di alta qualita' (Phong);
- controllo proprieta' dei materiali (colore, lucentezza, trasparenza);
- sorgenti di luce multiple (puntiforme, direzionale o spot);
- esportazione dei modelli in formato VRML (1.0);
- scelta della qualita' del filmato;
rendering di un oggetto; le luci possono venire spente o accese gradualmente;
e gli attori speciali (come la camera da presa) vengono manipolati allo stesso
modo.
Requisiti Hardware/Software
Macintosh con processore 68020 o superiore (coprocessore mat. non
necessario);
scheda video a 8 bit/256 colori (raccomandata 16 bit/migliaia di colori);
768 kb di RAM libera (1 Mb raccomandato);
MacOS 7.x o superiore;
QuickTime 1.5 o superiore.
Questa versione aggiunge il supporto per la trasparenza di oggetti, e un
parametro
ambiente per l'effetto nebbia.

VCD Player simplifies the process of playing video compact discs on your
Mac. With most other players, you only get video in a tiny area of your
screen, or in an area surrounded by a huge border of some sort. VCD
Player smoothes the video playback process and allows you to watch
full-screen movies in the MPEG format, without any headache-inducing
distortion to make the movie unwatchable. There are various configurable
options that control sound and playback, and just as with a sound-only
CD player, you can control which track to start watching. VCD Player can
remember where you stopped playing the movie after you quit the program,
restarted your Mac, or even changed to another disc then changed back.
System Requirements
- Power PC
- QuickTime 2.5 or later
- QuickTime MPEG Extension 1.0 or later
What's new
What's new in 1.4.6?
- VCD Player now supports multiple monitors. Drag the 'Track' window to
