Subject: [*] audiofile401.hqx, Audiofile: Organize Your Entire Music Collect
Have you ever bought the same album twice, because you forgot you owned it?
Have you lent an album to a friend but forgot which album or which friend?
Would you like to print out a list of all the albums you own for insurance
reasons? Then you need Audiofile by Spinfree -- a ZDnet 5-star Editor's
Choice award winner.
"Who needs Audiofile?" Daniel Buckley (Stereophile Magazine, Tucson
Citizen) said, "record store people, radio folks, musicians, music
writers, collectors, music-industry folks, and other music freaks. If
you've got a computer, Audiofile will help you get the most out of your
music collection."
Audiofile 4.0 is the richest Audiofile release ever and offers tremendous
gains in productivity, speed, and ease of use. Audiofile helps maintain
control of music collections, and allows users to input many types of
information about each album in their collection including the artist,
title, producer, record label, genre, where you bought it, how much you
paid for it, location of the album (at home, at work, in your portable, in
your car, loaned out), lyrics and cover art. Audiofile 4.0 not only
organizes your CDs, but also your tapes, vinyl LPs, minidiscs, and DATs.
And, together with the Audiofile Internet Companion, an Audiofile add-on,
Audiofile owners can download album data from the Internet (CDDB) so they
don't have to manually type it in by hand.
This demo version is fully functional with the exception of a 10 album
limit and no importing. The demo can be converted into a fully functional
release version by purchasing an unlocking code from Spinfree.
Instructions are provided with the demo.

Subject: [*] HyperLaunch 1.2 - program launcher
HyperLaunch 1.2 is similar in function to At Ease. It provides links to
applications and documents, and then creates a button for that link.
There are a couple of quirks with HyperLaunch. It leaves the Finder
running in the background, and has a Quit item on the menu. To solve the
first one, you could create some sort of script that launches HyperLaunch
and then quits the Finder. We've seen a couple of utilities that add a
Quit menu to the Finder, such as System 7 Pack. Version 1.2 adds several
new features, including the ability to use the Finder icon for a document
and application.

Subject: [*] ident-d.sea v1.0.1
ident-d implements the UNIX Indentification Protocol ( rfc1413 )
under MacOS. The purpose of the Identification Protocol is to identify the
user of a particular TCP-IP connection to an Internet server. This is
frequently employed by servers that permit anonymous logins ( ie: IRC, WWW,
FTP ).
An Ident client will ask "who is using a particular connection."
Since MacOS is single user, ident-d simply returns the "Owner Name" of the
Macintosh as found in the File Sharing control panel. Space and control
characters in the owner name will be replaced by underscores ( '_' ) to
keep the clients happy.
Version 1.0.1 is tuned to use less CPU time, fix "lock-up" bug
ident-d is freeware. Requires PowerPC, Open Transport Native,

Key XFCNs V2.0 (replaces Key XFCNs V1.0 and the ControlKey XFCN)
New in this version:
xfcns and xcmds for PowerMacs added.
This HyperCard stack contains four XFCNs and one XCMD, all related to
key events.
The ControlKey XFCN, that came in a separate stack before, is now
included in this file.
controlKey()

keyIsDown (|-1)
returns true if the specified key is pressed. With -1 as key code,
the XFCN
returns true if at least one key ist pressed, false if no key is
pressed.
virtualKeyCode ()
returns a comma delimited list of the virtual key codes of all
currently
pressed keys.
charKeyCode (["m[odifiers]"])
returns the character of the currently pressed key. If "modifiers" is
specified, the function returns them too. If command-option-x is
pressed, the function returns the string "cmd opt x".
flushKeyEvents

English
OneApp English-Italian is an English/Italian dictionary for Macintosh
users, containing more than 23,000 English words with translations into
Italian. You can find all the entries that contain any particular English
or Italian word by typing or pasting the word into the Find box and
pressing the Return key. The dictionary collects all the entries that match
what you've entered, and displays the English and the Italian side-by-side.
You can copy words from the dictionary and paste them into another
document. You can collect English words (with their Italian translations)
in a separate window and study them together. If you have Apple
Text-to-Speech you can listen to the English vocabulary, and you can type
or copy other English text into a separate window and the program will read
it aloud. The user can easily create additional plug-in dictionaries to
supplement the dictionary provided with the program.

OneApp English-Italian is shareware, can be freely distributed, either
online or
on CD-ROM without restrictions, provided that the original package is included.

Subject: [*] Resource Extractor v1.0
This is a fully functional, 30-day demo of Resource Extractor. Resource
Extractor is a shareware utility that makes it easy to extract any type and
number of resources from any file. Resource Extractor takes those resources,
and creates a folder of individual ResEdit files, each containing one of the
resources. These are then suitable to drop into a REALbasic project.
Developers may also want to collect resources used in their projects, like
cursors, icons, or sounds. HyperCard or SuperCard developers may just want
to be able to collect resources in folders that make it easy to categorize
and organize them.
For developers who are working with SuperCard projects, Resource Extractor
can also extract resources from the data fork as well as the resource fork.
Now some of the fantastic externals developed by SuperCard developers,
distributed as SuperCard projects, can be used with other programming
environments!

Script Scribe 2.3 - Development tool for scripters and programmers. This
AppleScript application converts tab-indented source code (AppleScript, C,

...) and double-space-indented source code (HyperTalk) into a
dot-double-space-indented format. This format makes source code very easy to
read. You can quickly match an if ... statement with the correct end if
statement by simply following a column of dots. Useful for debugging and source
code printouts. This is a Clipboard Utility -- You first copy the text you want
to convert, then run Script Scribe, then paste the converted text where you need
it. An Option key feature lets you write the converted clipboard to a Stickies
Note on your Desktop. Requires: AppleScript 1.1.2 (not an earlier version); and

Text to STR#
Version 1.1.0 by Richard Drysdall (2/9/98).
This script is a tool for programmers who wish to create a STR# resource
from a text file.
The software required to use this script is AppleScript (1.0 or higher), a
resource editor (any version of ResEdit or Resourcer) a data fork editor
(e.g. HexEdit 1.0.7 by Jim Bumgardner), and a word processor or text editor

This version fixes a major bug that prevented the script from working with
a line of text longer than 13 characters.

Subject: [*] Verbs & Nouns 2.1.5 - foreign language learning
Here is the new version of the 'Verbs & Nouns' application - 2.1.5
'Verbs & Nouns' is an application for practising inflection, translation
and pronunciation at the level of single words. Features include the
opportunity to do inflection exercises, and translation exercises in
both directions; to record and play sound for single words; and to do
exercises based on sound or pictures.
The program keeps a record of exercises, and identifies the words that
the student has difficulty with. Along with the program, you need a
module for the target language concerned. The program can also be used
as an authoring tool to write your own modules of inflected words for
any language. A built-in 'inflection-generator' simplifies the addition
of these words. A 'Find' feature allows the modules to be used as
bilingual dictionaries.
Ready-made modules are already available for certain languages. You can
