- The SetCCursor() ToolBox call potentially moves memory and thus cannot
be used in interrupt code. The colored BeachBall cursor returns to black
and white as a consequence.
- Fixed unimplemented A-trap error on PowerBook 100 (any original QuickDraw
Machine) for the PMgrVersion() ToolBox call.
- Fixed unimplemented A-trap error on PowerBook 100 with System 6.0.4 for
the QDError() ToolBox call.
- Changes to compile with StuffIt Engine SDK 4.0v4.
- Option-Command About IM/Mac did not do what it announced.
- Solved a potential bus error while updating (command-U) the inbound mail
window.
- Changed the first uppercase 'T' of '(This file must be converted with
BinHex 4.0)' if present in a reply to a lowercase 't' to help Eudora to
not try and decode incomplete files.
- PC or UNIX style text gets line feed characters stripped/converted when
drag and dropped into the Message Entry window.
- Added a 're-open application' Apple event. The Mac OS 8 Finder sends a
're-open application' Apple event ('rapp') to applications when the
application is already running and it is opened from one of the Finder's
windows (either by a double click or by selecting the application and
choosing the Open command).
- Now also decodes selfextracting archives.
- The default button in a dialog was not outlined with RGB gray when
inactive but rather the old QuickDraw gray pattern.

Subject: [*] OSL Handler
OSL Handler
(formerly ObjectSupportLib Check)
=A91998 by W.S. Mardis
email:
What is it?
OSL Handler is an AppleScript applet which, after determining that you're
running System 8.0 or later, searches your Extensions folder for a copy
of ObjectSupportLib and, if found, offers you-the user-the options of
deleting it (recommended), moving it to the Trash, or leaving it alone.
Why do I need it?
ObjectSupportLib is a shared library used by many applications. Prior to
the introduction of System 8, it was a separate file which was installed
in the Extensions folder. Installers for applications that required
ObjectSupportLib often installed a copy, just to make sure it was there.
Beginning with System 8, however, the functionality of ObjectSupportLib
was included in the System file. Most installers, though, don't know this
and still install a copy of ObjectSupportLib. Unfortunately, its presence
is almost certainly bound to cause problems with your Mac. For instance,
you may see the Finder repeatedly load the desktop and be unable to
launch any applications. If this happens, you'll probably find that your
=46inder preferences file has been corrupted and all settings have reverted
to their default values; the only way to get your values to "stick" again
is to Trash the Finder preferences file, restart your computer and then
set your values. Something of a pain, all because of that one little file.
How do I use it?
OSL Handler may be run at any time by double clicking its icon. However,
since most installers which place anything inside the System Folder at
least suggest, if not require, that you restart your computer, the best
place to put OSL Handler is in the Shutdown Items folder inside the
System Folder; that way, it will usually run and check for an
ObjectSupportLib just before shutdown or restart.
More complete details on the use of OSL Handler are available in the
TexEdit format file, "OSL Handler Read Me".
Requirements
If you've gotten this far, you probably realize by now that OSL Handler
requires AppleScript, and that you should only use it with System 8 or
later. That's it.
Testing
If you want to test OSL Handler, place a copy of any file (not a folder)
in your Extensions folder and rename it "ObjectSupportLib" (without the

read and capture incoming timecode. With a keystroke, Studio TakeLogger
captures the start and end times of takes and calculates the duration.
Studio TakeLogger's interface looks like a typical recording studio
TakeSheet with columns showing each take's start, end, duration, and
comments, as well as a place to rate and mark each take. STL
automatically keeps track of take numbers for you, and can handle
false-starts and "three-fer's". Typing a key command instantly rates a
take with 0 to 4 stars and/or a check-mark. Shortcuts instantly comment
a take with customizable text. And STL supports formatted printing with
or without custom page headers.
System requirements:
* Mac-OS computer.
* 68K or Power-PC.
* System 7.x or OS-8.
* 1200K of available RAM.
* 2.3MB of disk space.
* A SMPTE-to-MIDI timecode interface.

Subject: [*] The Computer Cookbook 2.41
The Computer Cookbook 2.41 - adds the ability to Mark/UnMark all
recipes, or the currently selected recipes. This FileMaker Pro Layout
allows you to enter, view, sort, print and RESIZE recipes. The BIG DEAL
about this program is that it allows you to enter your recipes the way
they were meant to be entered. If the recipe says 2 2/3 cups, then you
enter 2 2/3 cups. You don't need to remember that 2 2/3 cups is 2.67
cups. Who wants to have to convert that kind of stuff. Well with The
Computer Cookbook, there is no need to. This Cookbook already has over
600 Family Recipes. This is Shareware. Requires Filemaker 3.0.

the CPU. It does recursive downloads, remembers the last few web pages
you've downloaded, and optionally creates the entire folder hierarchy of
a site.

much more robust link extraction, and much more. $10 Shareware. For more
