README.TXT for the Psion screen saver

Files in the zip archive
------------------------
The Psion screen saver is distributed in the form of a .ZIP file containing the
following files:

    readme.txt          this documentation file
    sslicen.txt         user licence agreement
    movplayr.scr        the screen saver control module
    psion95.avi or
      psion31.avi       the Video for Windows file

Note: before using this software, you must read and agree with the
terms of the accompanying file SSLICEN.TXT.


Requirements
------------
It will run on Windows 95 or Windows 3.x (different versions, the Windows 3.x
version requires Video for Windows to be installed), and is untested on
Windows NT.

As the screen saver plays an animation, the more powerful your computer the
better the performance of the screen saver. We recommend a 486dx2 as a minimum
specification.

Psion cannot offer any warranties or guarantees, see SSLICEN.TXT.


Installation of the software
----------------------------
You should uncompress PSIONSS3.ZIP or PSIONSS95.ZIP using pkunzip, or a more
friendly graphical utility such as Winzip.

WINDOWS 95:

1. Copy the files movplayr.scr and psion95.avi to the Windows folder.
2. From the Start menu, select 'Settings' then the 'Control Panel'.
3. Select the 'Display' item.
4. Select the 'Screen Saver' tab.
5. Select the 'Movie Player' screen saver.
6. Select the 'Settings' button.
7. Select 'Video for windows' in the 'List files of type' popup.
8. Select 'Browse' and fill in the path to the movie file 'psion95.avi' for
   example type 'c:\windows\psion95.avi' on the 'File name' line. 
9. Select OK.

WINDOWS 3.1x:

1. Install Video for Windows, if you do not already have it (it is available from
   all the usual shareware sources such as magazine cover disks
   and http:\\www.shareware.com )
2. Copy the files movplayr.scr and psion31.avi to the Windows folder.
3. In the Program Manager select the group called 'Main' and then the 
   'Control Panel' item.
4. Select 'Desktop'.
5. Select 'Movie Player' in the screen saver part of the 'Desktop' dialog.
6. Select the 'Setup' button.
7. Select 'Video for windows' in the 'List files of type' popup.
8. Select 'Browse' and fill in the path to the movie file 'psion31.avi' for
   example type 'c:\windows\psion31.avi' on the 'File name' line.
9. Select OK.
