SATA Air Açores is a local airline based on the João Paulo II Airport by Ponta Delgada on Azores group of islands. SATA flies short island to island
flights as well as flights connecting the Azores to Europe and Africa. Today SATA uses mainly Bombardier Dash 8 version Q400 and Q200 planes. Daughter company
Azores Airlines, formerly SATA International flies with Airbus A321neo and A321LR planes mainly to destinations in mainland Portugal but also to places like
London, Boston, Oakland, Montréal and Toronto.
This plane doesn't exist any more. It was a British Aerospace BAe ATP from the year 1992. It first flew in Indonesia until 1999 and joined SATA in 2000. It
was stored in May 2010 and broken up in 2016. Here we see it approaching João Paulo II Airport by Ponta Delgada.
