LUXAIR or former Luxemburg Airlines and officially Société Luxembourgeoise de Navigation Aérienne is the national
flag carrier of Luxemburg. It used to be partly owned by the Lufthansa group, but Lufthansa sold its share in 2015 to the
national government of Luxemburg. It's an old company, founded already in 1948. For a long time they operated with
Fokker Friendship and Fokker 50 machines, switched then totally to Boeing B737 jets, but after kerosene prices
started climbing up, they returned to turboprop machines by ordering Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 planes. Currently (in 2019)
Luxair has eight Boeing B737 700/800 machines and 11 Dash 8 Q400 machines. This LX-LGG is a Dash 8 Q400 delivered in
August 2012.
