Q5: I get all message twice. How do I correct this?
When system personal have reorganised your mail region (for some reason)
it is possible that your email address is changed. You then have to
resubscribe to be able to send messages to the list.
If you didn't unsubscribe before the reorganisation you are twice on the
list, and can't unsubscribe your old address your self.
In that cases, send a mail to the list owners:
origami-request@mitvma.mit.edu
mentioning which email address to remove from the list.
The list owners are human beings with a limited amount of time, so be
patient while awaiting your deletion from the list.

Q6: I dont like getting all messages spread over the day. What can I do?
The question had been raised as to what the "digest" version of this
mailing is all about.
The list server for this newsletter takes all our communications to it,
removes all the front addresses, leaves only the senders name and subject.
It then takes all the letters and sends them out as a group.
Since I did this, my internet time to receive this mailing has been cut
by 50%.
How do you do it???
Send mail to:
listserv@mit.edu
Do not list any subject..leave the line blank.
In the normal body of the letter enter:
set origami mail digest
The next mailing that is made will be in this form.

Q7: Are there more mailing lists on Origami?
The list was originally started (May 1988) at the
origami-request@cs.utexas.edu address by Brad Blumenthal. When he got
another job the list was moved over to the origami-l@nstn.ca address. And
still later (Februari 1998) the list was moved to origami@mit.edu.

Q8: Do I need to specify an appropriate subject?
Yes. The subject should be relevant to the message. That's because you can
query the archived mail via email. See the files FAQ.
So when you reply to a mail instead of sending a new mail just because you
don't want to type the list address, you should change the subject to an
appropriate text.
Especially for the VAX computer users:
Type:
reply/subject="xxx"
where xxx is the new subject. The procedure then continues as a reply.
Incorrent subject lines are very confusing, especially when they appear in
a folder directory.

Q9: I don't get any messages any more. What should I do?
There are two possibilities:
You are set to NOMAIL
You are unsubscirbed
Both may happen without your intervention. The listserver is no bug free.
If you send a message to the list when you are not subscribed (any more)
you'll get a message telling 'you are not subscribed'.
When you don't get a message like this and don't get any message you
probably are set to postpone. You may correct this by sending mail to:
listserv@mit.edu
Do not list any subject ..... leave the line blank.
In the normal body of the letter enter:
set origami mail
or if you want it in digest format (see Q6):
set origami mail digest
