I would like to hear your ideas on whether this idea might work or not. But if you really want to know the price of the kite call him. Look up his number under Furnival's Flowers & Gifts in Jackson MI area code (517). Particularly after saying things like, "I hate that stupid kite" (as opposed to "I hate my lack of the patience needed to learn to fly this kite") Frankly, I wouldn't expect the Sympony to fly too well if cut in half. The main reason I say this is that, from a Rev point of view, there's way too much sail in the belly, and I'm not sure how much billow there'd be (this would be somewhat dependent on whether or not you kept the battens, I imagine). Personally, I think you'd have much better luck turning it on its side, ditching the battens, bowing it, and flying it as a single line... Jeff (who notes that it would be cheaper to sell the kites, even at cost, and then experimenting with raw fabric and spars, especially considering the amount of work you'd have to do to make 4 self-contained kites out of two symphonies) -- |Jeffrey C.
