Any suggestions on good places to fly nearby? : Lionel The closest thing to a decent spot in Redmond itself is Marymoor Park, which has some soccer fields that are okay. Depending on wind direction, however, it can be frustrating! Marymoor is located on West Lake Sammamish Parkway, anyone at Microsoft can give you directions. There is also a park called sixty acres, but it is controlled by the youth soccer league, and had been closed to all use lately. When it's open, the darn soccer players keep getting in our way. If you'll be here on June 16, head into Seattle proper for the Seattle Kite Festival at Magnuson Park. email us for more info and directions if you're interested. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see the Seattle Kite Festival, as I'm only in the area unti Wednesday June 5. Maybe next time.
